- Adverbs of manner = Adverbs of manner show how the subject does the action. They are normally put after the direct object or after the main verb. Example: She asks speaks English fluently.
- Adverbs of Place = Adverbs of place show where the action happens. They are normally put after the direct object or the intransitive verb. Example: I study in the library.
- Adverbs of Time = Adverbs of time show when the action happens. They are normally put at the end of a clause or sentence. Example: We come to the class at 7.00 a.m.
- Adverbs Of Frequency = Adverbs of frequency show how often the action happens. They are normally put before the main verb. Example: My brother usually drinks milk.
